About Me
Hi, my name is Maddi. I recently graduated from Louisiana State University with a Master of Arts in Anthropology; before that, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from Oregon State University. My research interests include skeletal anatomy, decomposition, taphonomy, and forensics.
For the past eight+ years, anthropology has been my life; however, I'm discovering that I have more interests than bones and decay. I possess a strong passion for traveling, happiness, cats and animal welfare, and healing physically and emotionally through a healthy relationship with food. Please follow along on my journey through life so that together we can share health and happiness in even the most trying of times.

A Love of Anthropology
I love to learn. Part of the reason I went to school for so long was so that I could learn more about anthropology and find my place within the discipline. A childhood interest in osteology persisted, and I became fascinated with forensic anthropology.

Because of my interest in anthropology, and not just the physical branch, I have had the opportunity to experience great things. Among them, several trips to Tanzania to learn about the people and wildlife, 3D imaging using Maya artifacts from Belize, maintaining a membership with the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS ) and the American Association of Physical Anthropologists (AAPA) to keep up with the latest forensic advancements and anthropological discoveries, respectively, and assisting the Louisiana Attorney General's Office with cemetery recovery efforts after historic flooding in 2016.
